Premier Pitches Ltd was founded in 2002. Our expertise is in sports surfaces.
My name is Sam Leech. I have always had a good understanding of sports and how the sports surface can affect the players, the ball and in turn the game.
I achieved top student in my HND in Golf Course Management in UK and honed my skills working at five star facilities including The Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland, Merion Golf Club in Philadelphia and Pebble Beach, California.
Projects, Profit and Reputation
I decided to start my own business in order to take on worthwhile projects, turn a profit and build on my reputation. I enjoy all aspects of my work and rarely regret the move into self employment. I get a great kick out of having my high levels of expectation and attention to detail replicated by others in our team. It truly takes a team effort to achieve our successes - I believe that finding and keeping good staff motivated is the most challenging aspect of being an entrepreneur.
We provide our services throughout the southern half of Ireland and sometimes abroad. These services include; the installation of synthetic grass, the maintenance of natural grass, construction of sports facilities, sports fencing, court marking & lining and advisory services. We also do residential services such as artificial golf green construction, play surfaces for children and rubber tiling.
From a start up staff of two, we have moved on to employing a full-time staff of nine. We employ additional seasonal staff in the summer and at peak times.
The Next 12 Months
In twelve months time I hope that we can consolidate our position as main contractors and improve on our good reputation. We pride ourselves on trouble free installations and advance problem prevention on the projects we run.

As a “blow in” to Kerry; I can add that it is a great place to reside and do business. I have been fortunate to live and work in very desirable locations around the world and kerry compares best of all.
Advice, "Take care of the little things..."
Being a young entrepreneur my advice is basic; be passionate about your mission or goal - then you will find a way to succeed. Take care of all the little things; it is a good habit that works on large scale projects too.
